With the UK due to leave the EU on Friday 29 March 2019, the UK Government has introduced the EU Settlement Scheme. The scheme entitles EU citizens and their families, with successful applications, to continue living in the UK after the 30 June 2021.

The EU Settlement Scheme is currently in the pilot stages, and will open fully on 30 March 2019, with a user-friendly online application process. The deadline for applying will be 30 June 2021. The Home Office also recently announced that there will be no fee for applying to the scheme, when it is rolled out in March. If you have applied already, or apply in the pilot stages, your fee will be reimbursed.

The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) has released some helpful guidance and FAQs about the scheme, which can be found on their website. If you have queries about the scheme and whether you need to apply, please visit the page to find out more.

If you have further questions, please contact Student Services.
