Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival, will be coming back to London this term!  Between 29th October and 4th November 2014 Ravensbourne will be a part of this festival for the very first time!

Sign up through the CMF website: http://www.campusmoviefest.com/rave

Since 2001 Campus MovieFest has travelled throughout the United States and Mexico and currently tours over 75 colleges and universities throughout the year.  All students are given the opportunity to make a five-minute film in a week, attempting to reach this two-fold goal:

1) If a student has no equipment or prior movie making experience, they will be provided with everything they need (Apple Laptop, Panasonic HD Camcorder, and training).

2) Showcase all of the amazing student talent.

Plus, over $500,000US is given away in prizes a year! Top student movies are shown in-flight on Virgin America, at the Cannes Film Festival, and more — all driving exposure for participating Universities and students. Recently, the festival has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, and Diane Sawyer. Festival winners gain access to top industry executives, internships, and video production opportunities. Special competitions – such as a Social Justice Category – are being added, with even more awards.
