Student Counselling

Is there a counselling service available to me as a student at the College?

The Student Counsellor Service offers skilled and confidential help to Ravensbourne students experiencing difficulties with their studies or in their personal lives. This service is free.

Counselling can assist you in coping with a range of issues including:

* Stress / Anxiety / panic attacks / low self esteem / loss of confidence
* Loneliness / isolation
* Sexual identity
* Depression / mood swings
* Anger
* Eating disorders
* Relationships / bereavement /family problems / friendships
* Coping with illness
* Problems with drinking or drugs
* Traumatic experiences
* Lack of motivation / time management / workload

Counselling can help you to become more resourceful and effective in your responses to challenges or difficulties and to bring about the sort of changes you want in your life.  You may come for just a one off session or continue for several weeks.

How do I arrange to meet with a Student Counsellor

The Student Counsellors are available three days a week
(Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  Feel free to drop in OR see posters for more details.

The Counsellors are located in the Counselling Room above the launderette in the student accommodation block. This is opposite the SU building.
