‘Every Child Matters’ is a Government initiative aimed at every young person up to the age of 18. The College is committed to meeting the aims of this initiative, which are that you should:
Be healthy
We offer opportunities for you to find out about healthy lifestyles, and provide free drinking water and healthy meal options in the student canteen.
We take the safety of all our students seriously and our Student Services and Estates teams are in place to make sure that the College is a safe and welcoming environment in which to work and learn and both teams offer advice on personal safety. We have Duty of Care processes, which are implemented if there are concerns about student health and safety.
H&S Induction for all students and staff
Your success is our top priority – and there are lots of opportunities to take part in our varied programme of extra-curricular activities on and off course.
We want you to get involved in the College, for example by being a student rep or by joining the student/staff liaison groups – you are encouraged at all times to let us know your views and engage fully in student life. We count on your views to help us continually improve!
We will give you all the help possible to ensure you can complete your course and progress successfully on to your next step. Our Student Finance and Bursary Adviser can give you information on the following:
