Amba Sessions

Head of Development

Amba manages the Development Team and actively fundraises from the business sector as well as from Trusts and Foundations. She has developed the institutional case for support statement and a series of compelling campaigns which support the college’s corporate priorities and transition to the Greenwich Peninsula.

Amba has also identified potential partners and opportunities to raise funds supporting students and academic course development.

Alexandra Bacon

Research and Development Officer

Alex has been with Ravensbourne since Sept 2007. Previously working for BIG Lottery as a Case and Project Manager. Alex currently manages the Alumni and part of The Re - Activate Campaign Programmes including bid writing and day-to-day enquiries. Alex goes on maternity leave at the end of February 2008

Alison Knott

Research and Development Officer

Alison takes over from Alex when she goes on maternity leave.

Alison started at Ravensbourne on 21st January 2008.

Alison was previously a community fundraising manager in the charity sector. She comes from sales background and has also has done corporate fundraising.

Ian Cownley

Community Project Co-ordinator

Ian is supporting the Ravensbourne Youth Board via the The Re - Activate Campaign throughout 2008 as Project Co-ordinator, he currently works for the Development Office two days a week (Thurs and Fri) and for the Diversity Office three days a week (Mon - Wed).

Ian is a graduate of Ravensbourne with a BA (Hons) in Broadcast Production and a veteran of many a Rave on Air Events (including being Managing Director). His specialty is creating innovative projects that encourage non-traditional learners to find a pathway into Higher Education. He was born in Greenwich so he is perfectly equipped to understand the needs of the local community.
